TikTok for hair, nail, makeup and skincare apps.
Beauty is TikTok's native language. A try-on or skin app has something to show every single day, and Social Studio has been running accounts for exactly these apps. The posts below are real ones.
Real posts, made and published by the studio on accounts we run. Play them with sound.
What works for a beauty app on TikTok
The format that holds attention is the look itself: a hair colour nobody's colourist would do, a nail set matched to a grandmother's earring, four Halloween looks for an office that banned costumes, what each costume leaves on your face. The app is the way to get the look, so the app appears as the tool, not the subject. Nobody stops scrolling for an app icon.
Three things we learned running hair, nail, makeup and skincare accounts:
- Carousels (photo posts) get far less reach than videos for these accounts. They carry no watch time. Keep them to a small share of the mix.
- TikTok caps an account at around nine or ten posts a day; anything beyond rolls to the next day. One to three a day is plenty.
- A new account's first week often sits at very low views whatever you post. Judge formats over a week, not a post.
What the studio makes
- Photo videos: a sequence of scenes with motion, on-screen text, an original music track and a narrator cast from more than 200 voices.
- Before-and-after scenes composited from your real product photos or screenshots, so the result shown is one your app can actually produce.
- Optionally a recurring generated persona whose face stays the same across posts, so the account has a presenter without you filming one. Labelled as AI content.
- Captions and hashtags written for the post, the AI-generated label on every one, and publishing to your TikTok account after your approval.
How it runs
Paste your App Store or Play link and upload screenshots or product photos. The studio plans ideas and books them on a calendar at the cadence you choose. Posts arrive on a review screen; you watch, edit the caption, pick who can see it and press Post, or leave it unpublished. Nothing goes out without your yes.
Questions
Can it keep one presenter across posts?
Yes. The persona feature keeps a generated presenter's face consistent from post to post, so the account reads as one person. Every such post carries the AI-generated label.
Will the before and after be honest?
The after is built from what your app produces, composited onto the same base image as the before. The studio does not promise results your app cannot make.
Do you post to Instagram too?
No. TikTok only, to the account you connected.
Where can I see real posts?
On the samples page: hair, nail, makeup and skincare posts the studio made and published on accounts we run, playable with sound.
Post every day without filming every day
Social Studio plans the ideas, makes the posts with music, voiceover and captions, and publishes them to your own TikTok after you approve each one.
